Confused about the title of this article? Let me explain, the Plymouth Adult Community Center (PACC) and the Plymouth Intergenerational Coalition (PIC) are selling coupon booklets to raise money.
How does this help the community?
Well, PACC and PIC are multipurpose organizations that offer a wide variety of services, activities, and educational courses for older adults. Their purpose is to create and maintain a climate of respect, trust and support for elders within the community. They offer older adults the opportunity to develop their potential as experienced adults and to share their wisdom, insight and skills with others through diversified programs of health, recreation, education, community affairs and volunteer service.
Most of their activities are held and made possible by using the Plymouth Intergenerational Coalition building in Plymouth that Joe Van Horn Chevrolet has made monetary donations to help build. We are happy to see the building put to great use by the community and encourage others to continue engaging with all generations.
The contributions will help PACC and PIC maintain and build on the relationships they've made among the different generations and support the social and educational activities.
The "Community Days" coupon booklets are sponsored by Bon-Ton, Bergner's, Boston Store, Carson's, Elder-Beerman, Herberger's, Younkers, and Parision. By purchasing a coupon booklet you donate $5 and recieve specially priced merchandise offers for men and women apparel, houseware, shoes, and fragrances. But you must hurry because all coupons are only valid on "Community Days" which is Friday April 28th and Saturday April 29th of 2012.
